Grads

This is a personal effort to build a HOWTO resource for GrADS related issues. By definition the information in this page is incomplete and subject to constant review and updates.

Most of the info comes directly from questions/answers submitted to the GrADS mailling list, I only took some time for properly formating them.

By the way, help is always wellcome. If you think you can write a question/answer topic, just send me an email and I will put your text here. In the same way, if you try some of the code and it does not work, please warn me... Or if you are from COLA/GrADS and you think COLA/GrADS would like to take care of this page, just write me.

Monthly data

• Climatology or anomaly for a particular month

• Hourly rain fall rate from accumulated precipitation

• without junk bytes
• Don't concatenate, use GrADS v1_9
• Converting grib to binary

Plot Layout

• Getting rid of axis labels but keeping ticks
• Changing the axis title offset
• Drawing a rectangle with lon/lat coordinates
• Two graphs with different y-scale in the same plot
